Mairi McConnochie & Simon Sadinsky
Simon Sadinsky and Mairi McConnochie, of London, England, celebrated their wedding on May 26 on the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland, with family and friends from near and far.
The couple met while studying for master’s degrees at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the fields of international development and public health.
The bridegroom, 28, is the son of Miriam Sadinsky and Hugh Heisler of Northampton, and the brother of Sophie. He is a 2003 graduate of Northampton High School. Prior to moving to London to study at the LSE, he received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Colorado College and a master’s degree in urban policy from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
The bride, 30, is the daughter of Janet and Ian McConnochie of Dunlop, Scotland, and the sister of Laurie. She is a 2000 graduate of Stewarton Academy, and received her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from St. Andrews University in Scotland.
Chris Kurose, Simon’s childhood friend from Northampton, was his best man. Mairi and her maid of honor, Chloe Wilson, have been close friends since their school days at Stewarton Academy.
Simon and Mairi currently reside in London, where she works as the International Communications and Project Officer with the Royal College of Physicians, and he works as a Project Officer with an international community development organization. After the festivities concluded in Scotland, the two traveled to Kenya and Tanzania for their honeymoon.
