Area police news


■ A 20-year-old Amherst man will be summoned to court on a charge of disorderly conduct after he threw a full water bottle that caused minor damage when it landed on a vehicle parked in Amherst Carriage Shops parking lot at 5:39 p.m. Wednesday, police said.


■ Police received a report from a passerby at 8:14 p.m. Thursday that a window had been smashed in a locked car parked on Williams Street.

■ William G. Hinds, 53, whose address is listed as the streets of Greenfield, was arrested at 8 p.m. Thursday on Main Street on a Greenfield District Court warrant for failing to appear in court, police said.

■ Anatoly Kishinevski, 28, of 28 Columbus Ave., was treated and released from Cooley Dickinson Hospital after his car was involved in a collision with a car driven by Elizabeth Crawford, 62, of 22 West St., Easthampton, at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Florida Avenue at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

■ James Gordon, 39, of 41 South St., Apt. 54, was arrested at 5:08 p.m. Thursday at Wal-Mart on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise after he left the store without paying for $10 worth of stationery.

■ Michael D. Brandford, 44, of 129 Pleasant St., Apt. 51, was arrested at 5 p.m. Thursday on King Street on an Eastern Hampshire District Court warrant related to an alleged failure to comply with bail conditions.
