Northampton police

Jolleen K. Martel, 21, of Harwick was arrested Sunday at 3:09 a.m. in the downtown parking garage and was charged with domestic assault and battery. According to police, Martel got into an argument with one of her sisters and struck her in the face and pulled her hair.

Joseph A. Delgado, 45, address listed as the streets of Florence, was arrested Saturday at 10:19 p.m. on a warrant from Northampton District Court for larceny over $250. According to police, officers responded to a disturbance at Meadowbrook Apartments and found Delgado at the scene, then discovered the warrant for his arrest.

Patrick M. McCarthy, 47, of Easthampton was arrested Saturday night and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a baseball bat. According to police, McCarthy got into a fight with a friend on Spruce Hill Ave. about 8:45 p.m. and struck him on the arms and head with the bat. He then fled the area and was arrested later at his home. McCarthy’s friend was not seriously injured, police said.

Lawrence Scouras, 44, address listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, domestic. According to police, officers went to the North King Motel, where Scouras was staying, after Scouras’ roommate said he had pushed her in the back and threatened to kill her with a pair of scissors.

Claudia M. Rossi, 41, of Lynn, was arrested Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on an outstanding warrant.

Darbie L. Young, 35, address listed as streets of Northampton, was arrested Saturday at 7:24 p.m. and charged with violating an abuse prevention order. According to police, Young was found inside the Walter Salvo apartment complex on Conz Street despite a court order to stay away from the building.

Selvin B. Galvez-Ovalle, 26, of Turners Falls, was arrested Saturday at the Pride gas station on King Street at 3:45 p.m. and charged with driving with a revoked license.

Steve Haskell, 62, of Devens, was arrested Saturday at 2:04 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for larceny by check. According to police, Haskell was arrested after his car was stopped near Sam’s Pizza on Main Street.

Police are investigating an assault that took place early Saturday morning outside Pearl Street nightclub. According to police, officers responded to the club at 1:13 a.m. after a man was punched in the face by another man, near the victim’s car. The victim suffered a broken nose and was transported by ambulance to Baystate Medical Center for treatment. Police said they had no additional details on the victim’s condition and are looking for the alleged assailant.

Jeremy A. Parker, address listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested Friday at 8:35 p.m. on Conz Street on several outstanding warrants, all from Eastern Hampshire District Court.

Charity Ritscher, 36, 110 Turkey Hill Road, Florence, was arrested Friday at 3:21 p.m. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, domestic. According to police, Ritscher had a fight with her ex-boyfriend and business partner on Main Street in downtown Northampton and kicked him several times in the legs with her boots.

Rebecca M. Brown, 22, of Easthampton was arrested Friday at 2:07 p.m. and charged with shoplifting, after police said she allegedly took a bottle of acne treatment from Cornucopia and concealed it in her purse.
