Second toy exchange next weekend

The second annual holiday swap for children’s toys and youth sporting equipment will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School cafeteria.

Volunteers will receive donations of clean, gently used toys as well as sporting equipment on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. as well as on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Items that won’t be accepted include anything that is dirty, broken, ragged or missing pieces, baby gear such as cribs, car seats, strollers and play-yards.

From 9 a.m to 10 a.m. Saturday, donors will receive first choice in selecting items to take home. The event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon.
