Sicards celebrate 60th
William A. and Claire A. Sicard of Northampton recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
William (Bill) Sicard, a native of the Bay State neighborhood, and Claire A. Boyer of Florence were married at Annunciation Church in Florence by the Rev. John F. Freel on Sept. 27, 1952. Bill Sicard worked at the Pro-Brush Company in Florence, then for Tobin Brothers Inc., also in Florence, retiring after 40 years with that company. Claire Sicard was a full-time homemaker.
The couple celebrated their anniversary at the Tavern On the Hill in Easthampton with family and a dinner highlighted by a special cake that was handcrafted by their granddaughter, Samantha Sicard.
The couple have five sons and daughters-in-law: Edward and Sally Sicard of Northampton; William J. and Annmarie Sicard of Hatfield; Timothy and Sheila Sicard of Westfield; Donald and Carol Sicard of Easthampton; and Stephen and Robyn Sicard, also of Easthampton. They are also the grandparents of 10, with two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
