Northampton police

■ Bartholomew E. Casey, 30, of 26 Nash Hill Road, Williamsburg, was arrested Sunday at 2:50 a.m. on New South Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failing to stay within marked lanes.

■ Police are investigating a report received Saturday at 10:52 p.m. that two unlocked bicycles worth a total of $230 were taken from outside a Harrison Avenue home.

■ Christopher B. Lynch, whose address is listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested Saturday at 8:13 p.m. in front of 104 Main St. on a charge of disorderly conduct, subsequent offense, after allegedly yelling and waving his arms and refusing to stop when police asked him to.

■ Casey Lauzier, 39, whose address is listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested Saturday at 5:10 p.m. at a homeless camp off of Hockanum Road on charges of larceny over $250 and possession of a class A drug (heroin), subsequent offense. Police said Lauzier took a trick bicycle worth $1,000 from in front of 287 Pleasant St. and fled but officers found him and the bike at the camp. Police said Lauzier was cooking heroin in a spoon but swallowed the liquid when officers approached him.

■ James T. Musante, 23, whose address is listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested at Big Y Supermarket at 136 North King St. Saturday at 4:59 p.m. on charges of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, possessing a class B drug (cocaine), and possessing a class E drug (strattera). Police said store employees called police after Musante allegedly tried to conceal two bottles of alcohol in his bag. Police said officers found substances they believed to be drugs in his bag.

■ Police are investigating a report received Saturday at 11:42 a.m. from a resident of Northampton Lodging at 129 Pleasant St. who said that while he was in the bathroom, someone went through his room and took $230 in cash.

■ Police are investigating a report received Saturday at 3:11 a.m. from a patron of Bishop’s Lounge who said that debit and credit cards and other items were taken from her wallet while she was at the bar.

■ Police are investigating a report received Saturday at 12:25 a.m. that someone took a cup holding approximately $10 to $15 in change from a panhandler at 41 Strong Ave.

■ Police are investigating a report received Friday at 5:42 p.m. that two men shoplifted two bottles of alcohol worth a total of $84.98 from Northampton Liquors at 104 Conz St. by allegedly concealing them under their shirts.

■ Police are investigating a report that an unlocked bicycle was taken from the rear entrance of TD Bank at 30 Center St. Friday at 4:18 p.m.

■ Police are investigating after receiving a report Friday at 3:14 p.m. that a customer’s HP tablet worth $1,500 was taken from Bruegger’s Bagel Bakery at 96 Main St. The man told police he left his tablet on the counter with the clerk while he went to use the bathroom and it was gone when he returned. Police have no suspects.

■ A South Carolina woman was treated and released from Cooley Dickinson Hospital following an accident on Pleasant Street Friday at 12:13 p.m.

Police said Christine Tamsin, 56, of Easley, South Carolina, was stopped to let a pedestrian cross in the crosswalk at the corner of Armory Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by Wendy K. Newton, 50, of Springfield. Newton was cited for failing to use care in starting, according to police.

■ Milissa Daniels, 42, of Chicopee, was arrested on Pleasant Street Friday at 10:22 a.m. on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failing to have a valid inspection sticker.
