Derek McMahon had a foot in both goals as the Smith Academy boys soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 2-0 win over Granby on the road Monday.

McMahon scored once and assisted on a goal by Jack Dadmun for the Falcons (7-1-3, 3-0-2 McGrath South).

Quinn Rickert was also credited with an assist.

Cam Woodward made five saves for Smith, which posted its sixth straight shutout.

Brett Sullivan made five saves for the Rams (5-7-1, 0-4-1).

Hopkins Academy 4, Athol 1 — Tyler Szymkowicz had a goal and an assist as the Golden Hawks (11-1-1, 4-1 Schmid) avenged their lone loss of the season with a win at home.

Evan Delaney, Connor Quinlin and Chad Sanderson each scored once, while Paul Delamy was credited with two assists.

Ben Pitta made three saves for Hopkins, which lost at Athol 1-0 on Sept. 18.

Sabis 2, Frontier Regional 1 — Jamie Blinder scored in the 29th minute from Chad Parent, but the Red Hawks (5-4-1, 3-3 Schmid) lost at home.

Dylan Husted made six saves for Frontier.

Gateway Regional 2, Renaissance 2 — Calvin Dowers scored from Justin Edinger in the final minute to gain a point as the Gators (8-2-2) qualified for the postseason.

Edinger had a goal and an assist for Gateway, while Mike Arel made six saves.

Girls soccer

South Hadley 10, Putnam 0 — Emma Slysz had six total points for the Tigers (7-4-2), who rolled to the home shutout.

Slysz scored twice and assisted four times. Kerri Sexton had two tallies, while Molly Medina (assist), May Fitzgerald (assist), Maddie Gatzounas (assist), Ashley Gallagher, Briana Couture and Meg Callahan added a goal each. Gigi Thibault picked up a pair of assists, while Morgan Harrington assisted once.

Neither Abby Lukasik nor Caroline Watkins needed to make a save in the win.

Field hockey

Frontier Regional 6, Athol 0 — Rose Moscaritolo and Brenna Sicard (assist) scored two goals each as the Red Hawks (8-2-1, 6-0 North) rolled on the road.

Alexis Ackerman and Jordyn Roberts added one score each, while Taryn Marquis was credited with three assists.

Gwen Thayer made four saves for the shutout.

South Hadley 9, Central 0 — Emily Florence scored four goals and had two assists as the Tigers (3-9) dominated at home.

Taylor Guertin added a hat trick and one assist, while Merry Kocot (assist) and Jackie Doyle each scored once.

Ali Rondeau was credited with an assist, while Sam Brault made three saves for the shutout.

Girls volleyball

Easthampton 3, Belchertown 2 — Jordan Burt had a match-high seven kills as the Eagles outlasted the Orioles 25-21, 17-25, 14-25, 25-21, 15-7 in Belchertown.

Ruthenee Nhem had nine assists for Easthampton (4-8, 2-3 Southern), while Caelin Mottor added five kills and four aces.

Brianna Rouleu had six aces for Belchertown (4-9, 1-4), wile Cara McKenzie finished with three kills and one block.

Sabis 3, South Hadley 0 — Courtney Marcil had seven assists, five digs, one kill and one ace as the Tigers (5-8, 2-3 Southern) lost 25-20, 25-21, 25-15 in Springfield.

Renaissance 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Shelby Cormier had five assists and one ace as the Vikings (0-11) lost at home 25-7, 25-12, 25-8.
