Congratulations to Anna Jean Dindal of Leverett, one of 18 people to correctly identify last week’s mystery photo as the bell tower of St. Brigid’s Catholic Church on North Pleasant Street in Amherst.
Karin Kayser of Amherst writes: “I have walked by that beautiful bell tower for over 15 years and still marvel at how beautiful it is.”
Damian Konkoly of Amherst notes that construction of the church began in 1923 and finished in 1925. He adds, “I wonder what people think of this part of the Amherst skyline compared to the newest edition to the skyline at Boltwood Place.”
