Tucked away in them thar hills is a number of professional, Equity-member actors, some of whom will offer a reading of Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. at Historic North Hall, 40 Searle Road in Huntington. The play won a Pulitzer Prize in 1955, and was adapted as a film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman. Set in the Mississippi Delta in the plantation home of Big Daddy Pollitt, a wealthy cotton tycoon, the play examines the dysfunctional relationships among family members.
