Thursday’s downhill skiing: Frontier’s Sean Doyle second on giant slalom
Three local skiers closed out the PVIAC regular season with top-10 performances Thursday at Berkshire East in Charlemont.
In the boys giant slalom, Frontier’s Sean Doyle came in second overall with a time of 24.65 seconds.
Greg Lerner (fourth, 25.03) was one of four Amherst skiers to finish in the top 25 as the Hurricanes placed third in the North Division.
On the girls side, Margaret O’Connell of Amherst finished eighth overall on the slalom in 41.92.
Frontier’s Alli Zera (14th, 45.49), Holyoke Catholic’s Lauren Kennedy (17th, 46.84) and Lucy Sloan of Northampton (18th, 47.29) were the top three individuals in the South.
