Dates set for town, state elections

HATFIELD - Nomination papers are now available at the Town Clerk’s office for the 2013 town elections. The last day to submit nomination papers is Tuesday, April 2. The last day to object to a nomination, or withdraw nomination papers, is Thursday, April 18.

This year’s annual town elections will take place on May 21. To cast ballots in that election, individuals must be registered to vote by April 24.

Due to this year’s special state primary and election, the town will hold two additional voter registrations this spring.

The Special State Preliminary election will take place April 30, with voter registration required by April 10. The state elections will be held June 25. Those wishing to vote in those elections must be registered no later than June 5.
