Tuesday’s girls soccer: Granby freshman Erin Mikalchus scores two more goals

Freshman Erin Mikalchus and the Granby girls soccer team continued their hot start on Tuesday afternoon.

Mikalchus scored her fifth and sixth goals of the young season as the Rams cruised to a 6-0 home victory over Turners Falls.

Alicia Frappier, Ariana Sheehan, Holly Wardwell (assist) and Morgan Lukasik added one goal each for unbeaten Granby (3-0).

Kate Sullivan was credited with two assists, while Julia Gress, Olivia Morin and Alexis Ouellette had one each.

Michaela Sansouci and Brittany Hauschild combined for three saves in the shutout.

Hopkins 2, Mohawk 1 — Jailinne Ruiz scored both goals in the first half for the Golden Hawks (2-2) in the home win.

Ally Huntoon assisted on the first goal, while Kate Sullivan had four saves for Hopkins.

Belchertown 7, Central 0 — Sisters Breanne (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brittany Moreau (2, 2) combined for seven points in victory for the Orioles (3-0) in Springfield.

Jackie Soucia, Jillian Cavanaugh and Lyndsey Fleming also scored a goal a piece for Belchertown.

Goalies Sarah LaClair and Ashley Cavanaugh both played a half for the Orioles, combining for four saves.

Westfield 2, Northampton 0 — Rose Katz-Berger made 12 saves in the road loss for the Blue Devils (1-1, 1-1 Kurty-Fielding).
