Amherst

■ Nicolas Brassard, 35, of Montreal, was arrested Sunday at 1:43 a.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) after punching and kicking a woman, police said.

■ Brieanna M. Arsenault, 18, of Wilbraham, was arrested Saturday at 11:51 p.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without headlights and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

■ Evan Lee Briand, 25, of North Pleasant Street, was arrested Saturday at 10:10 a.m. at Big Y, 175 University Drive, on two counts of shoplifting after leaving the store without paying for merchandise, police said.

■ Cecilia Jean Jenson, 21, of Boxborough, was arrested Saturday at 1:39 a.m. on East Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger.

Belchertown

■ Rodger W. Gauthier, 48, of 370 Mill Valley Road, unit 16, was arrested Sunday at 12:13 a.m. at a Belchertown home on charges of assault and battery and intimidating a witness.

■ Joshua T. Silva, 23, of Framingham, was arrested Saturday at 3:18 a.m. on Ware Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.

■ Joseph A. St. Cyr, 46, of Ware, was arrested April 24 at 9:42 p.m. on Ware Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Easthampton

■ Thomas J. Lucchesi, 51, of 17 Ballard St., Apt. N, was arrested on Northampton Street Friday at 6:40 p.m. on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

■ Brian Debettencourt, 68, of 15 Liberty St., Apt. 13, was arrested at the Public Safety Complex Friday at 9:01 a.m. on a warrant.

Hadley

■ James Gryszan, 62, of 20 Hampton Ave., Northampton, was arrested on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Bread and Circus on Russell Street on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise (second offense).

■ Enrique Ortiz, 32, of 14 Campus Plaza Road, Hadley, was arrested on Sunday at 9:20 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Hotel on Russell Street on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order.

Northampton

■ Pamela Mae Provo, 47, of 129 Pleasant St. Apt. C, was arrested about 3:25 a.m. Monday at the Hotel Northampton on King Street on a Northampton District Court warrant related to a charge of attempting to commit a crime.

■ Michael J. O’Connor IV, 24, of 10 Parsons Way, Southampton, was arrested about 2:08 a.m. Monday on Pleasant Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

■ Joseph M. Stanislawski, 22, of 74 Barrett St. Apt. 304, Northampton, was arrested about 3:09 p.m. Sunday on North King Street on two counts of shoplifting by concealing merchandise. According to police, a second person will be summonsed to court in connection with the same incident.

Pelham

■ Peter Lopez, 21, of Springfield, was arrested Sunday at 6:45 p.m. on Route 202 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on three warrants.
