Amherst

Greta Devoney was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Simmons College in Boston. Greta, a first-year communications major, is the daughter of Elise Lennon and Tony Devoney.

Jonathan Park was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Emory College, Atlanta, Ga..

Alexandra Seager was named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at the School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York City.

Ashfield

Christopher Stafford, a game programming major, is studying abroad at Champlain College’s campus in Montreal, Quebec during the spring 2014 semester. At Champlain’s academic center in Quebec, Stafford and other students have the opportunity to gain an international perspective and prepare to be global professionals.

Easthampton

Air Force Airman Weston R. Clark graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Clark, son of Karl Clark , is a 2011 graduate of Easthampton High School.

Elizabeth Riley was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Westfield State University. She is a senior who will graduate with a degree in sports medicine, and has been accepted into the Master of Occupational Therapy program at Bay Path College in Longmeadow.

Samantha Pion recently joined the Castleton College, Castleton, Vt., mentoring program. The program matches Castleton undergraduates with local fourth and fifth-grade students from the Castleton Village School. During informal meetings throughout the academic year, the college-student role models provide social support and encouragement for the children to aspire to attend college.

Hadley

Katherine O’Donnell was named to the fall semester dean’s list at University of the Sciences, Phladelphia. O’Donnell is a doctor of physical therapy student.

Hatfield

Nicholas Andrus was named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Nicholas is majoring in criminal justice, with a concentration in homeland security, and a minor in history.

Northampton

Aaron Graham-Horowitz was awarded Best Intern in the InStep Global Internship Program 2013-2014 for his contributions to Infosys of Bangalore, India. A graduate of Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School, he is a junior at Harvard University completing a joint concentration in mathematics and computer science.

Justin Burgos was named to fall semester dean’s list at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H.

Paul M. Morrissey, son of Kathleen Morrissey and the late Paul Morrissey of Northampton, was promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army. He is currently serving as Chief of Psychiatry with U.S. Army Medical Department, Fort Drum, N.Y., and has served in the military for 19 years.

South Hadley

Joseph Milewski was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, Syracuse, N.Y. A sophomore majoring in the Bandier Program for music and the entertainment industries, he is the son of Jim and Cindy Milewski.

Daniel Beauregard recently joined the Castleton College, Castleton, Vt., mentoring program. Southampton

Matthew Fletcher was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Morrisville State College , Morrisville, N.Y. He is the son of Robert and Cheryl Fletcher.

Jake T. Hagelstein, son of Eric and Susan Hagelstein, was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Westfield State University. Jake is a senior majoring in mathematics.

Bailey Gobillot was named to fall semester dean’s list at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H.

Sunderland

Sara M. Judge, a sophomore majoring in elementary education, and Sydney M. Judge, a freshman in the honors program majoring in biology, were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Westfield State University. The sisters are the daughters of Dan and Lori Judge.
