Pair allegedly steal Christmas tree from Boy Scouts — and other area police news
∎ Dean A. Nemroff, 21, of Georgetown, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. Friday on Triangle Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and improper operation of a motor vehicle after it failed to proceed through a green light, causing traffic to backup.
∎ A 21-year-old Needham man and a 22-year-old Bellmore, N.Y., man will be summoned to court on a charge of larceny under $250 after they were found walking on North Pleasant Street with a Christmas tree allegedly stolen from the Boy Scouts tree stand at Kendrick Park at 1:50 a.m. Friday.
∎ Paulo Sergio Rodrigues-Correia, 23, of 18 Newton Lane, Hadley, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. Friday on Boltwood Walk on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
∎ Three 20-year-old men were issued $300 tickets for violating the town’s noise bylaw after officers responded to a home at 227 East Pleasant St. where loud music was playing and found about 75 guests inside at 10:32 p.m. Thursday.
∎ Gino A. Monsini, 21, of Easton, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. Thursday on North Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possessing a class D drug (marijuana).
∎ An 18-year-old Granby motorist was uninjured after hitting a patch of black ice and sliding into a tree on Batchelor Street near the intersection with Pinebrook Circle at 5:41 p.m. Nov. 26. The front of his truck had minor damage, police said.
∎ A resident reported at 10:39 a.m. Nov. 26 that there were $925 in unauthorized charges to her credit card made in Illinois.
∎ Christine M. Helems, 29, of 23 Powell St., Florence, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Friday on King Street on a Hampshire Superior Court warrant related to charges of armed robbery, attaching plates to a motor vehicle and a lights violation.
∎ Jeffrey P. Aumand, 60, of 8 South St., Williamsburg, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. Thursday outside the Hampshire County Courthouse on Gothic Street on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order and a warrant for violating the order on another occasion.
Police said court personnel alerted them that Aumand allegedly had driven a woman who had an abuse prevention order against him to the courthouse and was waiting outside for her.
∎ Marie Grace Walden, 59, of 359 Bridge St., was arrested at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday at home on charges of domestic assault and battery and two counts of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Walden allegedly kicked a 32-year-old woman who lives at the same address in the stomach with her bare foot and hit her twice with a backpack, police said.
∎ Danny Gauthier, 32, of Gardner, was arrested on Daniel Shays Highway (Route 202) at 10 p.m. Nov. 29 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
