Monday’s girls volleyball: Amherst stays perfect with win over Ludlow

The Amherst Regional girls volleyball team made it past the quarter-mark of its season still unblemished.

Shaya Shally-Jensen had 12 kills and three blocks as the Hurricanes beat Ludlow 3-0 on the road Monday, 25-21, 25-12, 25-18.

Justine Bohl had 19 assists and six aces, while Cassie Long added 18 digs for Amherst (5-0).

Easthampton 3, Mohawk 0 — Hajar Akanour had three kills and six aces, Ruthenee Nhem added seven assists and a pair of kills and aces, while Amanda Lambert chipped in with four kills and two aces as the Eagles (2-4) won 25-12, 25-11, 25-22 at home.

Frontier Regional 3, East Longmeadow 0 — Courtney Newsome had six kills, Rachel Cialek had five kills and Emily Woodward added 18 assists as the Red Hawks (5-0) won 25-14, 25-14, 26-24 on the road.

Belchertown 3, Greenfield 0 — The Orioles (2-3) travelled to Greenfield and returned with the victory, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Brionna Beaudry had three aces for Belchertown. Tatyana Ryan had four assists and an ace, while Briana Rouleau added a pair of kills.
