Granby PD investigates crash; driver injured
GRANBY — One person was sent to the hospital following a single-car accident Tuesday.
John Shaw, 64, of Belchertown, was traveling north on Taylor Street when he crossed over the center line and struck several small trees on the other side of the road at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, according to Granby Police Detective Barbara Fenn.
Shaw was taken by ambulance to Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, where he was treated and released.
No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation, Fenn said.

■ Coral Diane Strader, 24, of 353 Northwest Road, Westhampton, was arrested about 3:42 p.m. Wednesday on King Street on charges of possession of a class A drug (heroin) and shoplifting over $100. According to police, a random plate check revealed Strader’s car was involved in a past shoplifting from Wal-Mart on King Street. A search of the car revealed several bags of heroin, according to police.
