Wednesday’s high school lacrosse: Belchertown girls roll past Mount Greylock

Belchertown girls lacrosse freshman Emma Jopson matched Mount Greylock’s goals all by herself, but got plenty of help in the Orioles’ 20-4 win at home Wednesday.

Chloe Zinter and Brea Allen added three each for the Orioles (7-3), while Kate Bowers and Natalie Caney scored twice apiece.

Kayla Panek, Jackie Soucia, Alaina Swift, Tiffany Anderson, Audrey Duhaime and Kat Lowe scored once each.

Abbey Norden made eight saves.

Boys lacrosse

Longmeadow 9, Northampton 5 — Tyler Walsh made 17 saves, but the Blue Devils (4-4, 0-4 Valley) were outscored 7-3 after halftime in the road loss.

Alex Zadworny, Cody Malone, Ben Davis, Will Lombardi each had a goal and assist.

Jack Shaughnessy added a score, and Peter Higgins had an assist.
