A springtime tradition, the annual two-day Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail Studio Tour winds from Florence in the south up through Hadley and Pelham and then north to Greenfield, Shelburne Falls and Northfield, encompassing nine pottery studios located in barns, farm houses, reclaimed factory buildings and even a converted Airstream trailer. The self-guided tour runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can stop by the studios in any sequence or combination that suits their interests and itinerary (look for the yellow “Pottery Trail” signs when leaving the main highways on the weekend of the event).
