Deerfield Town Offices closed in memory of Carole Giusto
DEERFIELD — The Deerfield Town Offices were closed today from 9:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. out of respect for the family of Carole Giusto, a retired town police officer who died Sunday.
Giusto, who was 67 and lived in South Deerfield, moved here with her family from Connecticut in 1985. It was in 1988 when she began career in law enforcement. She was appointed to the Deerfield Police Department, working as a police clerk, dispatcher and assistant to the chief. In 1990, Giusto fulfilled a personal goal and graduated from the police academy as a special officer and an expert marksman. After 23 years of service, Giusto retired from the Deerfield Police Department.
Funeral services will be held during the town office closing hours at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
