Out-of-control brush fire damages house on East Street in Goshen

GOSHEN — A small brush fire that had been started to destroy weeds at a home at 665 East St. quickly got out of control Thursday afternoon and flames began to burn the siding of the house. Before the fire was extinguished it caused an estimated $15,000 in damage to the home, which was built in 1844, according to Fire Capt. Bob Labrie.
