The Amherst Mickey Mantle team had to play in back-to-back games to punch its ticket to the Pioneer Valley championship on Sunday. After knocking out Frontier, 12-0, Amherst beat Northampton 11-3 in the semifinals of the double elimination tournament at Deerfield Academy’s Headmaster Field.
