Senior Briefs


The Amherst Health Department and Senior Center will host their annual walk-in flu clinic on Monday and Oct. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Bangs Center. The vaccine is for all adults age 19 and older regardless of insurance status. For those with insurance, bring the insurance card. Tetanus and pneumonia vaccinations will also be available.


The Belchertown Senior Center will hold a Halloween Party on Oct. 31, beginning at 10 a.m. There will be dancing with DJ Kevin Bell and lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. Sign-up is required. Costumes are optional, but for those in costume there will be party favors. For information, call the center at 323-0420.


Crafters and artists are needed for the 6th Annual Holidays Craft Festival which will be held on Dec. 1 at the Senior Center. Vendor applications are available online at www.northamptonseniors.com or can be requested by calling 587-1232. Booth fee is $40, deadline to apply is Nov. 19.


The Friends of the Elderly are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Holiday Craft Fair on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the South Hadley Senior Center. A luncheon and baked goods will also be available.
