Shots fired in South Hadley rotary, and other area police news
■ John P. Clark, 23, of Westport, Conn., was arrested Thursday at 2:17 a.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger.
■ A 40-year-old man was transported by South Hadley Fire District 1 ambulance to Holyoke Medical Center on Aug. 9 after being found in his underwear by police in the area of River Lodge Road following multiple calls.
■ A Springfield man drove into a concrete donkey that was placed on Hadley Street Aug. 8. Police are trying determine how the object got into the road.
Police said the driver was traveling north on Hadley Street near the Village Commons when he saw the donkey in the road, but could not stop his vehicle before striking it at 11:53 p.m. No one was hurt.

■ Police are investigating after finding empty shell casings from a .40-caliber handgun in the Route 202 Rotary on Aug. 6 after receiving a 911 call at 10:10 p.m. reporting that someone was shooting a gun out the window of a vehicle. ■ Kimberly Lojewski, 35, of Hatfield, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 9 in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot on Newton Street and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
■ Saul Nieves, 28, of 13 Grant St., was arrested on a warrant at 6:18 p.m. Aug. 8 on Grant Street.
■ Victor Stepus, 45, of Chicopee, was arrested at 4:13 p.m. Aug. 8 on Granby Road on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was also charged with not having an inspection sticker and defective equipment, a cracked windshield.
■ Eric Colarusso, 32, of 332 Newton St., was arrested at home on a warrant at 11:28 p.m. Aug. 6 after police responded to a report of a bonfire.
■ Victor Espinoza, 55, of Springfield, was arrested on Lamb Street at 4:25 p.m. Aug. 6 and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, possessing an open container of alcool in the vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
