Suspect sought after robbery at Amherst pharmacy
AMHERST — Police are searching for a robbery suspect who stole prescription medication from a downtown store early Monday evening.
Detective Jamie Reardon said a man wearing a winter beanie-style cap and a scarf that covered his face, dropped a note on the counter at CVS Pharmacy, 76 North Pleasant St., that demanded prescription medication.
No weapon was shown during the incident, which was reported at 5:07 p.m. The man fled the store and has not been located.
“He did get away with an unspecified quantity of prescription medication,” Reardon said.
No customers or employees were harmed during the incident, Reardon said.
