Investigation continues into highway rollover
NORTHAMPTON — A 21-year-old Hadley man was in good condition Thursday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after his SUV rolled over on Interstate 91 north in Northampton the previous night.
Patrick J. Carey was trapped in his vehicle for 20 to 25 minutes after the 7:19 p.m. accident, Northampton fire officials said Wednesday. They found the vehicle lying on its side against some trees off the shoulder of the highway in Northampton near the Hatfield line.
State Police Lt. Daniel G. Richard said Thursday at 5:30 p.m. that no charges had been filed and the cause of the accident was still under investigation.

■ Emily M. Rookwood, 21, of Marblehead, was arrested Wednesday at 1:09 a.m. on Fearing Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Northampton
■ Jason E. Cournoyer, 31, of 202 Nonotuck St., Florence, was arrested about 8:38 p.m. at home on a warrant related to a failure to pay fines, police said.
UMass
■ Robert Edward Pin, 25, of 248 Amherst Road, Unit L10, Sunderland, was arrested Sunday at 1:26 a.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, obstructing a stationary emergency vehicle and unsafe operation of a motor vehicle.
■ Tao Jiang, 26, of 380 Riverglade Drive, Unit E, Amherst, was arrested Saturday at 5:33 p.m. on University Drive on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on a warrant.
