Amherst tax business offers free electronics recycling
Liberty Tax Service is offering free recycling of electronic equipment and other appliances Saturday at 373 Northampton Road, Route 9, in Amherst from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Liberty Tax Service will serve refreshments and raffle off a free prepared tax return.
Electronics that will be accepted are computers and laptops, toner, inkjet cartridges, printer, fax machines, telephones, modems, router switches, cables, wiring, servers and mainframes, batteries and lightbulbs. Also welcome are appliances, medical equipment, stereos, radios, keyboards, copiers, ovens, dishwashers, speakers, microwaves and other small appliances, along with metal desks, snow blowers, car batteries, paper shredders, cameras, vacuum cleaners and fans.
Disposal of televisions and monitors will require a small fee.
Liberty Tax Service provides computerized income tax preparation, electronic filing and refund loans.
Liberty Tax is working with Totaltech Recycling Co. on Saturday’s event.
