Amherst tax business offers free electronics recyling
AMHERST — Liberty Tax Service is offering free recycling of electronic equipment and other appliances Saturday at Liberty Tax Service, 373 Northampton Road, Route 9 in Amherst Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Liberty Tax Service will serve refreshments, and raffle off a free tax return.
Electronics that will be accepted are computers and laptops, toner, inkjet cartridges, printer, fax machines, telephones, modems, router switches, cables, wiring, servers and mainframes, batteries, lightbulbs. Appliances, medical equipment, stereos, radios, keyboards, copiers, ovens, dishwashers, speakers, microwaves and other small appliances will also be accepted, along with metal desks, snow blowers, car batteries, paper shredders, cameras, vacuum cleaners, fans and more.
Televisions and CRT Monitors will require a small fee.
Liberty Tax Service provides computerized income tax preparation, electronic filing and refund loans. It is is locally operated at 373 Northampton Road, Route 9, in Amherst.
Liberty Tax is working with Totaltech Recycling Company on Saturday’s event.Totaltech Recycling is located at 34 Front Street, Indian Orchard.
