Monday is deadline for requests for school records from Northampton High School class of 2008
NORTHAMPTON — Monday is the deadline for written requests from members of the Northampton Class of 2008 who want temporary records due to be destroyed this summer.
The high school is following state law that requires school districts to destroy most temporary records five years after a student graduates or leaves the school. Permanent records, including grade transcripts must be preserved for 60 years.
Members of the NHS class of 2008 who want their temporary records can submit written requests to: Guidance Office, Northampton High School, 380 Elm Street, Northampton, MA 01060. Records will be available for pickup in person after Aug. 15 at the high school’s main office.
