Amherst

■ Two 14-year-old boys were cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and their parents notified after police said they noticed a glass smoking bowl in front of the boys and their attempt to hide something in their pockets at the West Cemetery at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday.

Northampton

■ Tracy Jane Richter-Loy, 59, whose address is listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested about 6:11 a.m. Wednesday on Main Street on a charge of disorderly conduct after allegedly disrupting traffic.

■ David Roy Strickland, 64, of 7 Sherman Ave., was arrested about 12:17 a.m. Wednesday on Coolidge Avenue on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

■ Steven C. Solomon, 57, of 20 Hampton Ave., was arrested about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the police station on Center Street on five counts of violating an abuse prevention order. According to police, Solomon allegedly left multiple telephone messages for a woman who had taken out a restraining order against him earlier in the day.

■ Stephanie L. Rose, 28, of 260 Main St., Apt. 2B, Leeds, was arrested about 7:54 a.m. Tuesday at the Wal-Mart on North King Street on a charge of larceny over $250 for allegedly trying to leave the store without paying for $433 worth of merchandise.

Hadley

■ A hiker reported at 4:27 p.m. Sunday that her vehicle was broken into while parked on Skinner Park Road. A purse and cellphone were taken, police said.

■ A man ran out of a store at the Hampshire Mall with an item, possibly a radio, wrapped in a gray sweatshirt at 4:11 p.m. Saturday, police said.

■ Evisto E. Oxford, 38, of 106 Lovefield St., Easthampton, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Friday at the Hampshire Mall on a charge of shoplifting.
