Police issue notification
of sex offender in city
NORTHAMPTON — Police have issued a notice about a Level 3 sex offender living in Northampton.
Bradley Scott Fox, 41, of 43 Center St., was convicted in 2010 of possessing child pornography.
He is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 165 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and a goatee.
He is not wanted by police. Police are required by law to notify the community of all registered Level 3 sex offenders living or working in town.
Level 3 sex offender classification means the individual is determined by the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board to have a high risk of reoffending.
∎ Leander Pridgett, 39, of Village Park, Unit 129, was arrested Sunday at 3 p.m. at a downtown home on a warrant and charges of domestic assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer and possession of a dangerous weapon (knife) while wanted on a warrant.
∎ Michael R. Spellman, 22, of Framingham, was arrested Sunday at 4:51 a.m. on Meadow Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to stay within marked lanes, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger. Spellman was arrested after the vehicle he was driving went off the road and damaged several mailboxes, police said.
∎ Robert William Auffinger, 36, who provided an address as the streets of Amherst, was arrested Saturday at 11:48 p.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of vandalizing property and disorderly conduct after he smashed out the front window at a downtown bar, police said.
∎ Benjamin M. Coblyn, 27, of 245 Lincoln Ave., Unit 1, was arrested Saturday at 8:53 p.m. on Meadow Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
∎ Kevin A. Corbin, 23, of Framingham, was arrested Saturday at 12:55 a.m. on East Leverett Road on a warrant.
∎ Ronald A. Phillips, 22, of 41 Ward Ave., Unit B, Easthampton, was arrested Sunday at 10:30 p.m. on Bay Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and refusing to identify himself to police.
∎ Marcy Douillard, 33, of 35 Greenwich Hill, was arrested March 25 at 8:41 p.m. at home on a warrant.
∎ Marcelino J. Bonilla, 23, of 22 Arlington St., Easthampton, was arrested Sunday at 4:06 p.m. at Wal-Mart at Mountain Farms Mall on a charge of shoplifting after he left the store without paying for $74.26 in merchandise, including bicycle tubes and a pellet gun, police said.
∎ Marcin M. Stasiowski, 29, of Palmer, was arrested Saturday at 4:40 p.m. at Whole Foods Market at Mountain Farms Mall on a charges of shoplifting after he left the store without paying for $148.91 in merchandise, including cod liver oil, kelp and curry powder, police said.
∎ Karen A. Martin, 43, of 17 Stockwell Road, was arrested Friday at 11:34 p.m. on North Lane on charges of possessing class A, B and E drugs.
∎ David Banas, 63, of 56 Maple St., Apt. 309, Florence, was arrested about 11:03 p.m. Sunday at home on a charge of domestic assault and battery after allegedly grabbing a woman by the throat after he refused to leave when asked, police said.
■ Modesto Melandez, 22, Holyoke, and Jonas Correia, 26, 12A, Longmeadow Drive, Amherst were both arrested Sunday at 1:34 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
According to police, officers were called to Tully O’Reilly’s bar on Pearl Street and asked to assist staff members with getting Melandez to leave. Melandez instead fought with police and bar employees and was placed under arrest, police said.
In a separate incident, Correia was observed yelling at employees, his fists clenched, just outside the bar; when he was asked by police to leave, he became combative and was placed under arrest, police said.
■ Mark E. O’Malley Jr., 26, of Westfield, was arrested Saturday at 10:24 p.m. on North King Street and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
■ Cora R. Gaulin, 27, 29 Clark Ave. Apt. 10, was arrested Saturday at 9:47 p.m. on a warrant on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
■ Thomas Nosal, 58, 2 Prospect Court, was arrested Saturday at 2:57 p.m. on Pleasant Street and charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. Police said Nosal was yelling at passersby, including children.
■ Joseph M. Caponi, 33, 9 Pine Brook Circle, Granby, was arrested Saturday at 1:51 p.m. on Main Street on a number of warrants from Eastern Hampshire District Court.
■ Lamont E. Allen Jr., 25, 11 Moss Lane, Amherst, was arrested Saturday at 3:17 a.m. and charged with assault and battery and three counts of vandalizing property. According to police, Lamont became intoxicated and disorderly at a friend’s house, urinating on the floor, punching a hole in a wall and biting a friend on the chest. Asked to leave, he then damaged flower beds outside and damaged a door frame by punching it, police said.
■ Gregory Lenkowski, 31, 245 South St., was arrested Saturday at 12:07 a.m. on Mount Tom Road and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and a marked lanes violation.
