Amherst

∎ Police are investigating an incident reported Thursday at 1:39 p.m. in which a customer at a Belchertown Road gas station left his wallet on the pump, returned to find that it had been stolen and a credit card was later used to make purchases.

∎ David S. Kochapski, 41, of 6 Laurel Road, Huntington, was cited for failure to use care in turning after the vehicle he was driving from North East Street onto Strong Street Thursday at 11 a.m. collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Zana R. Hatch, 43, of 66 Flat Hills Road, which in turn was pushed into a vehicle stopped on Strong Street driven by Craig L. Scarfo, 49, of 78 Triangle St., police said. Hatch was taken by Amherst Fire Department ambulance to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for treatment of minor injuries, police said. Hatch’s vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

∎ Stanley John Orzel, 42, of 81 Conz St., Apt. 206, was arrested about 7:50 p.m. Thursday at home on a Northampton District Court warrant related to a charge of assault and battery, police said.

∎ Victoria Pagan, 27, of Springfield, was arrested about 5:09 p.m. Thursday at the police station on Center Street on charges of domestic assault and battery, leaving the scene of property damage and larceny over $250. According to police, while driving, Pagan allegedly punched her passenger, grabbed a cellphone and lost control of the car, causing it to crash. Pagan then allegedly dropped the passenger off on the side of the road and drove away.

∎ Keith B. Whetstone, 41, of Indian Orchard, was arrested about 4:20 p.m. Thursday on King Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a pair of warrants. The warrants were issued from Northampton and Holyoke district courts, each for a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, police said.
