Twentieth person alleges sexual abuse by now-dead Red Sox clubhouse manager

Former Kansas City clubhouse attendant Gerald Armstrong tells The Boston Globe that Donald Fitzpatrick repeatedly molested him in the late 1960s starting when he was 12 years old.

The Associated Press does not normally publish the names of alleged abuse victims, but the 57-year-old Armstrong allowed the Globe to use his name.

Boston attorney Mitchell Garabedian is seeking a $100 million settlement from the Red Sox, even though the alleged abuse occurred under previous ownership and the statute of limitations has expired in most cases.

A team lawyer calls the allegations “abhorrent” and said the club is weighing the claims.

Fitzpatrick died in 2005 at age 76.
