UMass women's basketball falls to Northeastern

The University of Massachusetts women’s basketball team fell 95-76 to Northeastern, Saturday at the Mullins Center.

UMass trailed 40-33 at halftime, but the Huskies (6-4) pulled away in the second half behind a strong shooting effort.

Kim Pierre-Louis had 21 points and eight rebounds to pace the Minutewomen (3-9). Nola Henry added 16 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while Emily Mital added 18 points.

Jasmine Harris chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.

The Minutewomen travel to the Blue Sky Classic in Hanover, N.H., to wrap up nonconference play with a pair of games. UMass faces host-Dartmouth (1-9) on Sunday at 5 p.m. and battles Binghamton (1-9) the following day at 7 p.m.
