Photo gallery: The eyes have it

Putting into words what I see in this photo is difficult I only know that I have taken this picture many times. It is one when I see it I can not help but respond to. I wish I could say it is the mother in me but I have taken not this one but others like it long before I had children. I only know it is about the eyes. Somehow the childrens eye draw me in and the only thing I know to do is to try and catch the depth that is there before years add layers that make it harder to catch in a photograph.

I’ve taken this photograph many times, but it’s difficult to put into words what I see. I know it’s about the eyes — they draw me in — and when I see it, I can’t help but respond. I try to catch the depth that is there, before years add layers that make that depth harder to capture with my lens.
