KC TRAIL FREEZE

Driving along Pomeroy Street in Amherst in early December, I was compelled to pull over to see this part of the Plum Brook/KC Trail. A slight drizzle had frozen on branches and trunks of the saplings, outlining everything in white and giving them an appearance almost of glass. The yellow grasses with their burden of ice bowed inward, beautifully reflected by the brook as it meandered into the forest inviting us to explore the serene scene. This image was captured with a tripod- mounted DSLR camera with a normal lens.
