Man hospitalized following stabbing in Amherst Saturday
AMHERST — A 21-year-old man was treated for non-life-threatening wounds at Baystate Medical Center Saturday after he was allegedly stabbed at a house party.
As of Sunday night, no arrests had been made in connection with the attack and police said they had no information on whether the victim had been released from the hospital.
At 12:34 a.m., Police responded to 66 Pine St. for a call about an assault, Amherst Police said in a statement. They found the victim with stab wounds to his neck and chest and a laceration to his hand.
Police said they are investigating the stabbing, which they believe to be an isolated incident and not a threat to public safety.
