UPDATE: Victim of fatal tree accident in Williamsburg identified as Duane Miller of Vermont
WILLIAMSBURG —Officials have identified a man who died as a result of injuries suffered while dong tree-trimming work on Main Street in Haydenville as Duane Miller, 58, whose last known address was Vermont.
According to a statement from the office of Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan, Miller died sometime around 1:30 p.m. Monday ater he fell from a tree. He was the owner of Team Paint and Tree Service.
Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and the Occupation Safety & Health Administration are investigating this accident.
According to Town Clerk Brenda Lessard, the accident occurred about 1 p.m. near 129 Main St. Lessard said the man was working on a ladder and using a chainsaw when he fell.
Lessard said emergency workers were performing CPR at the scene.
Williamsburg police and fire departments responded to the scene as well as Highland Ambulance.
