Audition call for film parts at UMass
AMHERST — Auditions are being held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Center for Women and Community (formerly the Everywoman’s Center) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
A professional film company is producing a series of public service announcements to address sexual assault prevention on college campuses that will be distributed on social media platforms and are part of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office efforts to prevent such crimes.
Filmmakers are looking for men and women who appear to be in their 20s and late teens for speaking parts. The scenes take place at a party so they are also looking for extras, which are non-speaking parts. Filming will take place March 2 in Northampton. Times will be assigned depending on which scene actors appear in. People should plan to spend four to five hours on set. Photographs for posters will also be taken.
The parts offer pay of a $50 fee for actors and actresses and $25 for extras during the shoot. Food and beverages will be provided and a copy of the final video will be available.
Anyone interested should contact Natalia Muñoz at (413) 204-0899, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Auditions will be held at 180 Infirmary Way, New Africa House.
