Northampton police

∎ David G. Smith Jr., 33, of 25 Valley Road, Southampton, was arrested Saturday at 7:10 p.m. inside a downtown business on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or over after he allegedly grabbed a woman by her buttocks while she was walking in a stairwell in the parking garage, police said.

The woman was not injured during the incident, according to police.

∎ Yared Felipe Colon, 34, of 98 King St., unit 1, was arrested Saturday at 7:10 p.m. on Hampton Avenue on three warrants and a charge of possession of a class A substance, suboxone, subsequent offense, police said.

∎ Danielle Marie Slysz, 19, of 60 Laurel Hill, Westhampton, was arrested Saturday at 3:51 p.m. at Big Y Supermarket, 136 North King St., on a charge of larceny over $250 by a single scheme after leaving the store without paying for four bottles of infant formula, police said.

Slysz was identified as responsible for separate thefts of baby formula totaling $294.27 at the same store Nov. 27 and Nov. 30, police said.

∎ A vehicle traveling on Bridge Street near Pomeroy Terrace Saturday at 2:58 a.m. went out of control, slid through bushes and came to rest on its roof, police said.

The driver was not injured and no citations were issued, but the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

∎ Meghan Garcia, 20, of Chicopee, was arrested Saturday at 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Center streets on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, being a minor in possession of alcohol and speeding, police said.

∎ Sarah J. Gromada, 20, of 21 Crosby St., and Henry T. Souza, 19, of 52 Main St., Goshen, were both arrested Friday at 9:49 p.m. on Mount Tom Road on charges of possession of a class A substance, heroin, after police stopped the vehicle based on information that they were returning from Holyoke after purchasing the drugs, police said.

Souza was also arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin after a total of 28 bags of heroin were found in the vehicle, police said.

∎ Wendell Severinghaus, 54, of Bennington Vt., was arrested Friday at 2:56 p.m. at Deals & Steals, 76 Pleasant St., on a charge of shoplifting after she left the store without paying for shoes valued at $49.89, police said.
