Amanda Wilson of Belchertown fails to appear in court on charges of raping 13-year-old boy

Amanda Wilson, 27, whose address was listed in court documents as 10 South Main St., apt. 1, missed her arraignment on four counts of rape and abuse of a child aggravated by age difference.

Judge Mary-Lou Rup did not issue a warrant for Wilson, who also has a Pelham address listed in court papers, because it couldn’t be determined if she had received a summons.

Rup set a new arraignment date of Nov. 28.

According to court papers, the Department of Children and Families in May 2011 was investigating a report of abuse from Amherst Regional High School that claimed several students were left home unsupervised for an extended period of time.

Allegations came to light during that investigation that Wilson, 26 at the time, had been sexually active with several young males, including the alleged victim.

During police interviews, the victim allegedly told investigators that Wilson was a family friend whom he had known since he was 10, and the sex would happen when his mother was away at work or visiting relatives.

Wilson at first denied having sex with the victim, but in a subsequent police interview admitted to having sex with him at least five times between April and May 2011, while the boy’s parents were out of the country, according to court papers.

Wilson allegedly told investigators that she had “daddy issues” that caused her to feel unloved, and allegedly told the child she would kill herself if anyone found out about the two of them, according to court records.

Wilson denied showing the victim and one other children pornography on her computer, but told police the children had access to her password and she caught them watching a pornographic video on her computer once, according to information filed by the Northwestern district attorney’s office.

If convicted, Wilson faces up to life in prison.
