Amherst
■ John Paul Francis Vanasse, 29, of 91 North Main St., Belchertown, was arrested Monday at 1:18 a.m. on East Pleasant Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
■ Dmitry Ivanov, 21, of 10 Raymond Drive, Belchertown, was arrested Sunday at 11:48 p.m. on Amity Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
■ Allen Street residents reported Sunday at 4:02 p.m. their apartment was broken into and ransacked, though nothing was stolen. While officers investigated, they observed several malfunctioning smoke detectors. A subsequent inspection by the fire department and code enforcement officer also located a possible illegal bedroom in the attic.
■ Alex Carlton Koblinski, 22, of 72 North Main St., South Deerfield, was arrested Sunday at 1:28 a.m. on West Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after the vehicle he was driving went off the road near the Notch and rolled over, police said.
■ Derek L.J. Callahan-King, 33, of 14 Carriage Lane, was arrested Saturday at 9:45 p.m. on East Hadley Road on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
■ Gavin D. Portwood, 21, of Pepperell, was arrested Saturday at 2:34 a.m. on East Hadley Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and wanton destruction of property over $250 after he crashed his vehicle into a tree, police said.
■ Jacob Glenn Eisenhard, 22, of Ardmore, Pa., was arrested Saturday at 1:11 a.m. on North Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with a defective license plate light, police said.
