SNOW BUNTING Honey Pot area, off Cemetery Road, Hadley Photograph and text by Anne E. Ely of South Hadley I had my “ahh” moment” of the day when I saw the result of this image capture. While the other birds were racing around grabbing leftover kernels of corn from last year’s cornfield , this little snow bunting appeared to be shyly posing for the camera. Taking advantage of his brief pause, I quickly pointed my digital DSLR camera with telephoto lens out of my parked car window and clicked. Migrant birds reported on the Connecticut River included northern pintails, ring-necked ducks, bufflehead, common goldeneyes, hooded mergansers and common mergansers.
