PETASITIS Main Street, Northfield Photograph and text by Carol Pike of Northfield In early spring, petasitis looks like sweet little bouquets of yellow flowers, trailing down to the water’s edge. By midsummer, these plants will be more than three feet tall with enormous leaves and the common name of elephant ears.
