AUTHOR VISITS BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT GROUP

Psychotherapist and author Sebern Fisher and brain injury survivor Jehann El-Bisi will speak at a meeting of the Pioneer Valley Brain Injury Support Group Nov. 7 in Hadley.

The group is for brain injury survivors, caregivers, family, friends and health professionals.

Fisherand El-Bisi will describe and demonstrate neuro-feedback and discuss its potential for recovery and healing support for those with brain injuries.

HEALING PRACTITIONERS’ OPEN HOUSE

Amherst area healing practitioners will hold an open house Nov. 2, noon to 5 p.m., at 401 Main S., Amherst, to share information about their techniques and services. Kinesiology, bodywork and crystal energy healing are among the practices.

BETTER BONES AND WELLNESS

A 12-session program for people with osteoporosis and osteopenia will be held beginning Oct. 29 at Atkinson Family Practice in Amherst.

The program meets Tuesday and Fridays through Dec. 13.

GROUP JOINS COOLEY

Hampshire Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has joined Cooley Dickinson Practice Associates.

Service to patients will continue uninterrupted at the current Hamp Ortho locations at 4 West St., West Hatfield; 65 Springfield Rd, Westfield; 35 Turkey Hill Rd, Belchertown; UMass Amherst Clinic, Amherst; and 33 Riddell St., Greenfield.
