The Franklin-Hampshire chapter of PFLAG — Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbian and Gays — offers support, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their families, friends and allies. The chapter will meet July 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., in the conference room of Highland Valley Elder Services in the Cutlery Building, 320 Riverside Dr., Northampton. The following health-related events will be held at the center at 67 Conz St.:
— July 11 at 1 p.m.: Prescription medications: Gregory Herman, of Western New England University College of Pharmacy, will meet individually with seniors to discuss their current medications. Please bring in your medications. These sessions are open to all Northampton seniors. Registration is recommended; call 587-1228.
— July 12, from 10 a.m to noon: Free hearing aid service and hearing screenings
— July 15, 6 p.m.: A cooking class for diabetics
— July 17, from 9:40 a.m. to 1 p.m.: A foot care clinic, by appointment only. The fee is $25.
A group offering support, information and resources for brain injury survivors, family, friends, caregivers, and professionals now meets at Thayercare, 49 Middle St., Route 47, in Hadley on the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The next meeting will be Aug. 1.
