Check It Out, local health events: Transitioning to Medicare 

NEW TO MEDICARE

A seminar aimed at helping people get a handle on making the transition to Medicare will be held June 25 at the Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St. Lorraine York-Edberg, regional SHINE program director, and Michele Dihlmann, a social worker and SHINE counselor at the senior center, will discuss Medicare A and B, and Part D prescription coverage, and will go over options and public insurance benefits. CHOCOLATE AND COFFEE

A presentation about the potential health benefits of chocolate and coffee — samplings included — will be held June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Northampton Senior Center. No fee. Registration required; call 587-1228.
