WELLNESS PROGRAM

Area nutritional therapist Craig Fear offers a 12-week program designed to address the underlying causes of weight gain and poor health beginning Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Clinic: Alternative Medicines, 98 Main St., Northampton.

A free informational session about the program, “Get at the Roots,” will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the clinic.

‘BETTER BONES
AND WELLNESS’

Dragonfly Integrated Care at the Atkinson Family Practice in Amherst is offering a six-week program for people diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Participants will learn about medical testing and treatment, bone strengthening and balance exercises, bone building foods and tasty ways to prepare them, yoga for flexibility and joint protection, and movement exercises for better postural awareness.

BABYSITTING SKILLS COURSE

Kids ages 11 and older can take a course that will help them learn babysitting basics.

The next Supersitters course will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s education classroom This one-session course is taught by a certified instructor. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

AUTISM FUNDRAISING GALA

Community Resources for People with Autism holds its fourth annual Stepping Out for Autism fundraising gala Jan. 26 at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.

The event is 6 to 11 p.m., and features food, live music, a silent auction and other activities. Tickets are $50, or $450 for a table of 10. For more details, visit www.communityresourcesforautism.org.

STRESS REDUCTION CLASS

A four-week stress reduction program with Jessica Berger using the RelaxAbility method will be held Feb. 4, 3 to 4 p.m., at the Easthampton Council on Aging Enrichment Center.
