PFLAG GROUP REACHES OUT
PFLAG Franklin-Hampshire Chapter (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbian and Gays) offers welcoming support, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their families, friends and allies. The next meeting is Jan. 8, 6 to 8 p.m., in the conference room of Highland Valley Elder Services in the Cutlery Building, 320 Riverside Drive, Northampton.

The Easthampton Council on Aging Enrichment Center is offering tai chi, cardio-dance, stretching, stress-reduction and other new wellness programs this winter. For more information, or to pre-register, call 527-6151.
ALS SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Northampton ALS Resource and Support Group has added new dates to its meeting schedule. The group will meet Thursday, 1 to 3 p.m., as well as March 7, 6 to 7:30 p.m., April 4, 1 to 3 p.m., May 2, 6 to 7:30 p.m., and June 6, 1 to 3 p.m. The group will meet in conference room B at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, 30 Locust St. Northampton
The meetings are open to people living with ALS, their families, friends, caregivers and professionals who work with people with ALS or have an interest in learning more about ALS.
Thursday’s meeting features speaker Jennifer Della Ruffa from DynaVox, who will demonstrate an eye gaze communication device.

Beyond Birth: A Gathering of New Parents and their Babies (up to four months of age), meets Thursday 1 to 3 p.m., at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.
This support program is free; registration is not required. A parent education specialist facilitates the group and helps participants get to know each other. All are welcome no matter where you gave birth.
