Jennifer du Bois and Justin Perry of Paris were married on Aug. 25 in the gardens at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst. Justice of the Peace Maryann DeLoria officiated at the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, who is keeping her name, is the daughter of Carolyn and the late Richard du Bois of Williamsburg. The bridegroom is the son of Carolyn and Lee Perry of Orem, Utah.
Following a reception at the Lord Jeffery Inn, the couple honeymooned in Paris.
Ilana Panich-Linsman was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kate Sachs, Patrice Taddonio, and the bridegroom’s sisters, Diana Perry, Christina Perry and Rachel Perry. The junior bridesmaid was Emily Fletcher, the bride’s niece.
Tom Perry, the bridegroom’s brother, was the best man. The groomsmen were Dylan Finch, James Lomis and Joe Lambson. The junior ushers were Jonah Selby and Lance Iden, the bride’s cousins.
The bride, 29, is a writer and teacher of creative writing at Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif. A 2002 Williston Northampton School graduate, she received a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from Tufts University in Medford in 2006, and a master’s degree in English from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop at the University of Iowa in Iowa City in 2009. She was also a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University from 2009 to 2011.
The bridegroom, 29, is a writer and fellow at Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris. A 2001 Orem High School graduate, he received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and biotechnology from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, in 2006, and a master’s degree in English from Notre Dame University, South Bend, Ind., in 2009. He was also a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University from 2010 to 2012.
